They also provide a report for reference. Although these markings aren’t always perfect, they provide a basic benchmark for the type of digging that should occur (machine vs. hand). If a complicated area needs to be dug under, a vac truck might be required to clear out the area from dirt and debris safely, without compromising these service lines.
